NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 25th February 1977
S. O. 200 (E).—Whereas the Election Commission by its notification No 464/77, dated 10 February, 1977 issued under Section 30 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) has appointed—
(1) 16 March, 1977 (Wednesday), as the date of poll for all parliamentary constituencies (Nos, 1 to 4) in Himachal Pradesh, and
(2) 19 March, 1977 (Saturday), as the date of poll in 4 Ladakh parliamen- tary constituency in Jammu and Kashmir,
And whereas, the Election Commission is satisfied that on account of unavoid- able circumstances the poll in 1-Klnnaur (ST), 54-Bharmour (ST) and 55-Lahaul and Spiti (SI) assembly constituencies comprised within 2 Mandi parliamentary constituency of Himachal Pradesh and in 4. Ladakh parliamentary constituency in Jammu and Kashmir cannot be taken on the dates fixed,
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 30 and section 153 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, read with section 21 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 (10 of 1897), the Election Commission hereby makes the follow- ing amendments in its notification referred to above, namely—
I For the existing clause (d) of item (1) relating to the completion of elec-

"(d) (i) 23 March, 1077 (Wednesday), as the date before which the elec- tion shall be completed in all parliamentary constituencies excerjtlmj 2 Mandi parliamentary constituency In the State of HImachal Pra- desh and 4 Ladakh parliamentary constituency in the State of Jammu and Kashmir, and
(d) (il) 15 June, 1977 (Wednesday), as the date before which the election shall be completed in 2 Mandi parliamentary constituency in the State of HImachal Pradesh and 4 Ladakh parliamentary constitu- ency in the State of Jammu and Kashmir "
II, In. the Schedule to the said notification—
