NOTIFICATION

CENTRAL EXCISES

New Delhi, the 1st March 1977

G.S.R. 102(E).--In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notifications specified in the Table below of the Government of India, Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance), namely:—

THE TABLE

(1) in notification No. 67/73-Central Excises dated the 1st March 1973, in the second proviso, the words figures and letters "upto the period ending with the 28th day of February, 1977" shall be omitted; (2) in notification No. 43/74-Central Excises dated the 1st March, 1874, In the second proviso, the words figures and letters "when cleared during the period commencing on the 12th day of January 1976 and ending with the 28th day of February, 1977" shall be omitted;

(3) In notification No. 40/75-Central Excises dated the l*t March, 197S,

in the second proviso, the words, figures and letters "when cleared

during the period commencing on the 12th day of January, 1976 and

ending with the 28th day of February, 1977" shall be omitted;

(4) in notification No. 237/7B-Central Excises dated the flth December,

1973, paragraph 2 shall be omitted.
