IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

Subjet.—Import of Acrylic Monomer- O.G .L. No. CV1I dated 31-12-1976.

No. 160-ITO(PN)/77.—Attention is invited to OGL No. CVII issued under Ministry of Commerce, Import Trade Control Order No. 24/76 dated the 31st December, 1976, In terms of which import of acrylic monomer has been included under OGL for imports by State Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Corporation of India Limited (CPC) for meeting the requirements of actual users in terms of para 90 of Section I of the Red Book (Volume I) for the period April 1976—March 1977.

2. It is clarified that import of Methyl Methacrylate Monomer only is allowed under Open General Licence by the State Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals of India Limited (CPC) for meeting the requirements of actual users, in terms of tiara 90 of Section I of the Red Book (Volume I) for the period April 1976—March 1977. Actual users will not be eligible to import this item under the Open General Licence. In respect of other Acrylic Monomers, import licences will continue to be issued to the actual users under the automatic and supplementary licensing scheme during the current licensing period A.
