No. 38/l(a)/77/T—-The following order dated the 24th March, 1977, by the Vice-President acting as President is published for general information:—

"Whereas the office of the Speaker will become vacant immediately before the commencement of the first meeting of the House of the People on the 25th March, 1977, and the office of the Deputy Speaker is to vacant.

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by clause (1) of article 95 of the Constitution of India, I hereby appoint Shri D. N. Tiwary, a Member of the House of the People, to perform the duties of the office of Speaker from the commencement of the said meeting and, until the Speaker shall have been chosen by the said House ( 2 3 3) 2 34 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY PART I—SIC- 1

No. 38/&/77/T—The following order dated the 24th March, 1977, hy the VIce-Presldent acting as President Is published for general information:—

'T hereby appoint Sarvashri DN. Tiwary, Digvijaya Narain Singh, Tridlb Chaudhuri and K Raghu Ramaiah to be the persons before any of whom Members of the House of the People may make and subscribe the oath or affirmation In accordance with the provisions of article 99 of the Constitution of India.
