NOTIFICATION

CENTRAL EXCISES

New Delhi, the 26th April 1977

G.S.R 195 (E).-—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Excise Rules, 1944, namely: —

1. These rules may be called the Central Excise (Eleventh Amendment) Rules, 1977.

2 In the Central Excise Rules, 1944, in rule 2, in clause (ii) (A)—

(a) for sub-clause (1), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely:—

"(1) In the districts of Chanda, Bhandara, Nagpur, Akola, Buldhana, Yeotmal, Amraoti, Wardha, Raj aura, all of Maharashtra State, the Collector of Central Excise, Nagpur;" (725) 726 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY PART II—SEC. ³d) (b) for sub-clause (n), the followinR sub-clause shall be substituted, namely: —

"(n) in the districts of Ahmednagar, Jalgaon Dhuha, Aurangabad, FarbhanI Nanded, Bhir, Nasik, Pune, Satara, Sholapur, Sangh, Kohlapur, Osmanabad, Kolaba, Ratnagin, Thana except Thana taluka, all of Maharashtra State, the Collector of Central Excise, P u n e /.
