NOTIFICATION
New Delhi , the 5th May 1977
S.O. 317 ( E ) .- Whereas as a result of the review undertaken in terms of paragraph 6 read with paragraph 7 of the Election Symbols ( Reservation and Allotment ) Order , 1968 , with reference to the general election to the House of the People held in 1977 , the Election Commission 15 satisfied that certain political parties have fulfilled the conditions for recognition as State parties in States in which they had set up candidates at the said general election ,
And whereas in view of the impending general election to the Legislative Assemblies of a number of States , it has become necessary for the Commission to accord recognition urgently to these parties ;
Now , therefore , in pursuance of clauses ( a) , ( b ) and ( d) of sub - paragraphs ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) of paragraph 17 of the Election Symbols ( Reservation and Allotment ) Order , 1968 , the Commission hereby makes the following amendments to its notification No 56 / 77-2 , dated 9 February 1977 published as S.O. 152 ( E ) in the Gazette of India ,

Extraordinary , Part II , Section 3 ( 11 ) , dated 9 February 1977 as amended from time to time .
( I) In Table 2 of the said Notification-
( a) against the State of Tamil Nadu , the existing entry in column 2 shall be numbered as item No 1 and the following entries shall be added in columns 2 and 3
" 2. A'l India Anna Dravıda Munnetra Kazhagam
Two leaves " , and
Spade and Stoker . " (b) After the State of Tamil Nadu , the following shall be added .- "West Bengal Revolutionary Socialist Party
( II ) In Table 3 of the said notification-
( a) against item No 19 , Tamil Nadu , for the entries , " ( 9 ) Sparrow , ( 10 ) Swastik within a circle and ( 11 ) Two leaves " , the entries ( 9 ) Sparrow, and ( 10 ) Swastık within a circle " shall be substituted ; and
(b ) against item No 22 , West Bengal , for the entries " ( 24 ) Spade and Stoker , (25) Swastik within a circle , ( 26 ) Tractor and ( 27 ) Two leaves ' , the entries " ( 24 ) Swastik within a circle , ( 25 ) Tractor and ( 26 ) Two leaves" shall be substituted

का० ग्रा ० 317 ( भ ).-निर्वाचन प्रतीक ( श्रारक्षण और आवंटन ) भादेश , 1968 के पैरा 7 के साथ पठित पैरा 6 के अधीन , सन् 1977 मे हुए लोक सभा के साधारण निर्वाचन के प्रति निर्देशन से , किए गए पुनरावलोकन के परिणामस्वरूप निर्वाचन आयोग का यह समा- धान हो गया है कि कतिपय राजनीतिक दलों ने उन राज्यो, मे , जिनमें उन्होने उक्त साधारण निर्वाचन में अपने अभ्यर्थी खड़े किए थे , राज्यीय दलों के रूप में मान्यता प्राप्त करने की शल पूरी कर ली है ;
और , कतिपय राज्यो की विधान सभाओ के लिए श्रामन्न साधारण निर्वाचन की दृष्टि से इन दलों को अविलम्ब मान्यता प्रदान करना निर्वाचन आयोग के लिए आवश्यक हो गया है ;
अतः, अब, निर्वाचन आयोग, निर्वाचन प्रतीक ( आरक्षण और श्रावटन ) भावेश, 1968 के पैरा 17 के उप पैरा ( 1 ) के खखंड ( क) , (ख ) और ( घ) तथा उप-पैरा ( 2 ) के अनुसरण में , भारत के राजपत्र , असाधारण , भाग 2 , खड 3 ( ii ) , तारीख 9 फरवरी , 1977 में का ० प्रा० 152 ( अ) के रूप मे प्रकाशित तथा समय -समय पर यथा सशोधित अपनी अधिसूचना स ० 56, 77-2, तारीख 9 फरवरी , 1977 में एतद्वारा निम्नलिखित संशोधन करता है:-
( I ) उक्त अधिसूचना की सारणी 2 मे-
(क) तमिलनाडु राज्य के सामने स्तम्भ 2 में विद्यमान प्रविष्टि को मद सं ० 1 के रूप मे मख्याकित कर दिया जाएगा, और स्तम्भ 2 तथा 3 में निम्नलिखित प्रविष्टिया जोड दी जाएगी-
" 2. अखिल भारतीय अन्नाद्रविड मुन्नेत्र बड़गम दो पत्तियां" , तथा भारत का असाधारण राजपत्र

(ख) तमिलनाडु राज्य के बाद निम्नलिखित प्रविष्टि जोडी जाएगी :-- "पश्चिम बगाल रिवोल्यूशनरी सोशलिस्ट पार्टी फाषडा और बेलचा " ।
( II ) उक्त अधिसूचना की सारणी 3 मे-
( क) मद सं ० 19 तमिलनाड के सामने " ( 9 ) गोरैया ( 10 ) वृत्त के भीतर स्वस्तिक तथा ( 11 ) दो पत्तिया " प्रविष्टियो के स्थान पर" " ( 9 ) गोरैया तथा ( 10) वृत्त के भीतर स्वस्तिक । " प्रविष्टिया रखी जाएगी ; तथा
(ख ) भद स ० 22 पश्चिमी बगाल के सामने " ( 24) फावडा और बेलचा , ( 25 ) वृत्त के भीतर स्वस्तिक , ( 26 ) ट्रैक्टर , तथा ( 27) दो पत्तिया " प्रविष्टियों के स्थान पर " ( 24 ) वृत्त के भीतर स्वस्तिक , ( 25 ) ट्रैक्टर, तथा ( 26) दो पत्तिया । " प्रविष्टिया रखी जाएगी ।
