New Delhi , the 9th May 1977
roll interener Blectionentitled Houseofanisatieopleperformance at the general election to the House of the People held in Forward S.O.320 ( E ) - Whereas the Election Commission is satisfied that as a result of March , 1977 , the as a State Party in the State of West Bngal in terms of paragraph 6 read with paragraph 7 of the Election Symbols ( Reservation and Allotment ) Order , 1968 ;
And whereas the Commission has decided to recognise the All India Forward Bloc as a State Party in the State of West Bengal and reserve the symbol ' Lion' for the said Party in West Bengal ;
Now, therefore , in pursuance of clause ( b ) of sub - paragraph ( 1 ) and sub - para- graph ( 2 ) of paragraphph 17 of the Election Symbols ( Reservation and Allotment ) order , 1968 , the Commission makes the following amendments to its notification No 56/77-11 , dated 9 February , 1977 published as SO. 152 ( E ) in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary , Part II section 3 ( 11 ) , dated 9 February , 1977 as amended from time to time , namely-
( I ) In Table 2 of the said notification-
(a) against the State of West Bengal , the existing entry in column 2 shall be numbered as item No. 1 and the following entries shall be added in columns 2 and 3-
" 2 All India Forward Bloc Lion

and
(II ) In Table 3 of the said notification-
against item No. 22 West Bengal, under column 2 the entry " ( 15 ) Lion , " shall be deleted and the remaining entries " ( 16 ) Plough ," "( 26) Two leaves " shall shall be renumbered to read as " ( 15 ) Plough," to " 25. Two leaves"."
Further , in pursuance of clause ( c ) of sub- paragraph ( 1 ) and sub- paragraph ( 2 ) of paragraph 17 of the said Order , the Commission hereby makes the following amendment in its notification No 56/ 77 - I dated 22 January , 1977 , published as S.O 37(E) in the Gazette of India , Extraordinary , Part II , Section 3 ( ii ) , dated January , 1977 , namely 22 In the Table appended to the said notification-
be the entry at S. No. 7 relating to All India Forward Bloc shall deletd and the remaining entries at S. Nos . 8 to 39 shall be re- numbered to read as S Nos 7 to 38 .

का० प्रा० 320 ( अ) निर्वाचन आयोग का यह समाधान हो गया है कि निर्वाचन प्रतीक (श्रारक्षण और आवंटन ) आदेश , 1968 के पैरा 7 के साथ पठित पैरा 6 के अधीन, अखिल भारतीय फार्वर्ड ब्लाक, मार्च , 1977 मे हुए लोक सभा के साधारण निर्वाचन में प्राप्त किए गए अपने मतों के परिणामस्वरूप पश्चिमी बंगाल राज्य में राज्यीय दल के रुप मे मान्यता प्राप्त करने के लिए हकदार है ;
और, निर्वाचन आयोग ने अखिल भारतीय फार्वर्ड ब्लाक को पश्चिमी बगाल राज्य में एक राज्यीय दल के रूप में मान्यता देने और पश्चिमी बगाल मे उक्त दल के लिए निर्वाचन प्रतीक " शेर " आरक्षित करने का निर्णय किया है ;
श्रत. , अब, निर्वाचन आयोग निर्वाचन प्रतीक ( आरक्षण और आवंटन ) आदेश , 1968 के पैरा 17 के उप -पैरा ( 1 ) के खण्ड ( ख) तथा उप-पैरा ( 2 ) के अनुसरण में, भारत के राजपत्न असाधारण , भाग 2 खण्ड 3 ( ii ) , तारीख 9 फरवरी , 1977 में का ०श्रा ० 152 ( श्र ) के रूप मे प्रकाशित तथा समय -समय पर यथा सशोधित अपनी अधिसूचना स ० 5677-2, तारीख , 9 फरवरी , 1977 मे एतद्वारा निम्नलिखित सशोधन करता है
( I ) उक्त अधिसूचना की सारणी 2 मे--
(क) पश्चिमी बंगाल राज्य के सामने स्तम्भ 2 मे विद्यमान प्रविष्टि की मद स ० 1 के रूप में सख्यांकित कर दिया जाएगा , और स्तम्भ 2 तथा 3 मे निम्नलिखित प्रविष्टिया जोड दी जाएंगी :-
" 2. अखिल भारतीय फार्वर्ड ब्लाक " --" शेर " ;
तथा भारत का असाधारण राजपत्र

( II ) उक्त अधिसूचना की मारणी 3 में--
मद स ० 22 पश्चिमी बगाल के सामने स्तम्भ 2 मे " ( 15 ) शेर " प्रविष्टि हटा दी जाएगी और " ( 16 ) हल " से " ( 26 ) दो पत्तिया " तक की शेष प्रविष्टिया " ( 15 ) हल" .से " ( 25 ) दो पत्तिया " तक के रूप मे पुन संख्यांकित कर दी जाएगी ।
निर्वाचन आयोग उक्त आदेश के पैरा 17 के उप -पैरा ( 1 ) के खण्ड ( ग ) और उप-पैरा ( 2 ) के अनुमरण मे , भारत के राजपत्त्र असाधारण , भाग 2 , खण्ड 3 ( ii ) , तारीख 22 जनवरी , 1977 मे का ० आ ० 37 ( अ ) के रूप में प्रकाशित अपनी अधिसूचना स ० 56 77-1 , तारीख 22 जन- वरी , 1977 में भी एतद्वारा निम्नलिखित सशोधन करता है , अर्थात्,
उक्त अधिसूचना से सलग्न सारणी में-- अखिल भारतीय फार्वर्ड ब्लाक से सम्बन्धित क्र ० स ० 7 पर की प्रविष्टि हटा दी जाएगी , और क्र ० स ० 8 से 39 तक की शेष प्रविष्टिया , क्र ० सं ० 7 से 38 तक के रूप मे पुन' मख्याकित कर दी जाएगी ।
