CUSTOMS

G.S.R. 238(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of sec- tion 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts pota- hslum sulphate falling under Sub-heading No (6) of Heading No. 31.02/06 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), from the whole of the additional duty leviable thereon under section 3 of the second mentioned Act, subject to the following conditions, that*—
(1) the said goods shall be proved to the satisfaction of the Assistant Collec- tor of Customs that the same are being imported for use as manure, and
(ii) the said goods shall not be used for any purpose other than as manure.
