IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

New Delhi, the 13th May 1877

SUBJECT,—Import of permissible sabre parts.

No. 24-ITC(PN)/77.—Attention is invited to the Import Trade Control Order To 10/77, dated the30th April, 1977, in terms of which Import Trade Control Order No 21/70, dated the 22nd November, 1976, allowing import of permissible pare parts meant for maintenance of imported machinery or imported parts of indigenous machinery by actual users engaged in Industrial production under OGL Jo CIV has been rescinded.

2 It is clarified that import of permissible spare parts covered by the aforesaid import Trade Control Order No 21/76 dated the 22nd November, 1976 for which firm commitments by opening irrevocable letters of credit were made on or before ,0th April, 1977, will be allowed clearance by the custom authorities to the extent- of letters of credit opened, under the provision of OGL CIV, even if shipment of the goods is made alter 30th April, 1977 The actual users concerned shall furnish necessary declaration as provided in sub-para I(ii) of the aforesaid ITC Order No 21/76 dated the 22nd November, 1976 and documentary evidence to the satis- fation of the custom authorities that firm commitments by opening letters of credit or import of permissible spare parts were made on or before 30th April, 1977 under ,he provision of the Open General Licence CIV dated 22-11-1976.
