NOTIFICATION

CENTRAL EXCISES

New Delhi, the 13th June 1977

G.S.R. 277(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance), No. 154/75-Central Excises, dated the 3rd June, 1975, namely—

In the said notification, for clause (ii) of the proviso, the following clause shall be substituted, namely,—

"(ii) in the case of matches packed in boxes in which both the outer slide as well as the inner slide are made of card board, the amount of exemption shall be increased or further increasd as the case may- be by sixty paise per gross of boxes and in the case of matches packed in boxes in which the inner slide alone is made of card board, type amount of exemption shall be increased or further increased, as the case may be, by twenty four paise per gross of boxes;" [No. 110/77] N.
