New Delhi, the 23rd May 1977
S.O. 400(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 82B of the Indian Railways Act, 1890 (Act IX of 1890), the Central Government hereby appoints Shri Padma Narain Singh, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Government of Bihar as a whole-time Claims Commissioner to deal with all the claims arising out of the accident involving 9 UP Barauni-Kanpur Express and a Broad Gauge Dn. Goods Train at Bachwara on Barauni-Sonepore Section of North Eastern Railway on 24-2-1977. His headquarters will be at Chapra.
