New Delhi, the 29th June. 1977
G.S.R, 420(E) —In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Pas- sports Act 1967 (15 of 1967), the Central Government hereby directs that the power of function which may be exercised or performed by it under section 20 of the said Act shall, in so far as it relates to the issue of Certificate of Indentity to persons of Indian origin who came away to India from Kenya and Uganda and are resident in the State of Gujarat and the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli be also exercised by the following authority—
