G.S.R. 421 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby exempts the plastic material commonly known as polyvinyl chloride compound (PVC compound) from the whole of the duty of excise leviable thereon under the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944).
