NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 16th July 1977
S.O. 564(E).—The following notification made by the Vice-President acting as President of India on the 16th July, 1977 is published for general information :—
In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (n) of article 371 of the Constitution, the Vice-President acting President hereby extends to the State of Sikkim, with immediate effect, the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections Act, 1952 (31 of 1952), subject to the modifica- tion that any reference in the said Act to a law noun force or to a functionary noun existence, in the State of Sikkim shall be construed as a reference to the corresponding law in force, or to the corresponding functionary in existence, in that State
Provided that if any question arises as to who such corresponding functionary crip if there is no such corresponding functionary, the Central Government shall decide as to who such functionary will be and the decision of the Central Government shall be final.

S.O. ?65(E").—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections Act, 1952 (31 of 195.2% the Central Government, after consulting the Election Cemmissior, hereby directs rhat the Presidential and Vice-Prcsidenrial Elections Rules, 1974, shall extend to, and come into f'rcein,the State of SIkkim with effect on and from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
