New Delhi, the 18th July, 1977
G.S.R. 529(E).—In exercise of the power conferred by section 3, read with section 16, of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the Order of the Government of India in the Ministry of Energy (Department of Coal) No. G.S.R. 491(E) dated the 12th September, 1975.
In the said order, for the words, figures and letter, "In the said Order, after clause 12 F, the following clause shall be inserted, namely:—" the following shall be substituted namely —
" 1. This order may be called the Colliery Control (Amendment) Order, 1975.
2. In the Colliery Control Order, 1945, after clause 12 F, the following clause shall be inserted namely :—"

1. (1) This Order may be called the Colliery Control (Amendment) Order, 1977.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette
2. In the Colliery Control Order, 1945, in cUuie 12 C,—
(a) the first proviso shall be omitted;
(b) in the second proviso, for the words "Provided iurther that", the words "Provided that" shall be substituted.
