CENTRAL EXCISES
New Delhi , the 3rd August 1977
G.S.R. 550 ( E ) . In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - rule ( 1 ) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules , 1944 , the Central Government hereby exempts glass and glassware , falling under Item No. 23 - A of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act , 1944 ( 1 of 1944) and manufactured by a unit by mouth blowing or hand or foot pressing , from the whole of the duty of excise leviable thereon
2 Nothing contained in this notification shall apply if such unit manufactures also glass and glassware by a process other than that of mouth blowing , or hand/ foot pressing .

सा० का ० नि ० 550 ( प्र) -केन्द्रीय सरकार , केन्द्रीय उत्पाद शुल्क नियम , 1944 के नियम 8 के उप -नियम ( i ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तिया का प्रयोग करते हुए , केन्द्रीय उत्पाद-शुन्क और नमक अधिनियम , 1944 ( 1944 का 1) की प्रथम अनुसूवी की मद स ० 23 - क के अन्तर्गत सम्मिलित शीशा और शीशो के सामान को , जिनका विनिर्माण किसी एकक द्वारा मुह से फुलाकर या हाथ पैर मे दबाव डाल कर किया जाता है , उन पर उग्रहणीय समस्त उत्पाद शुल्क से छूट देतीहै ।
2. इस अधिसूचना की कोई बात लागू नहीं होगी यदि ऐमा एकक शीशे और शीशे के सामान का निनिर्माण मुह से फुलाकर , अथवा हाथ , पैर से दबाव डाल कर तैयार करने की प्रक्रिया से भिन्न किसी प्रक्रिया से भी करता है ।

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - rule ( 1 ) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules , 1944 , the Central Government hereby exempts glass and glassware of the descrip- tion specified in column ( 3 ) of the Table hereto annexed and falling under the sub - item pecified in the corresponding entry in column ( 2) of the said Table , of Item No. 23 - A of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act , 1944 ( 1 of 1944) , and manufactured in a semi- automatic unit , from so much of the duty of excise leviable thereon as is in excess of the duty specified in the corresponding entry in column ( 4) of the said Table .

सा० फा ० नि० 551 ( श्र ) केन्द्रीय सरकार , केन्द्रीय उत्पाद शुल्क नियम , 1944 के नियम 8 के उप- नियम ( i ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियो का प्रयोग करते हुए , केन्द्रीय उत्पादन शुल्क और नमक अधिनियम , 1944 ( 1944 का 1) की प्रथम अनुसूची की मद्द मं ० 23 -क की उन उप- मदो के अधीन सम्मिलित , जो इससे उपाबद्ध सारणी के स्तम्भ ( 2 ) मे विन्दिष्ट है, शीशे और शीशे के सामान को , जिनका वर्णन उक्त माग्णी के स्तम्भ ( 3 ) मे तत्मम्बन्धी प्रविष्टि में विनिर्दिष्ट है, तथा जिनका विनिर्माण किसी अर्धस्वचालित एकक में किया जाता है , उनपर उग्रहणीय उत्पाद शुल्क के उतने भाग से छूट देती है जो उक्त सारणी के स्तम्भ ( 4 ) मे तत्सम्बन्धी ' प्रविष्टि में विनि- दिष्ट शुल्क से अधिक है ।

स्पष्टीकरण.--इस अधिसूचना के प्रयोजन के लिए , " अर्ध -स्वचालित " एकक से वह एकक अभिप्रेत है जिसमे पिघले हुए शीशे को हाथ से-
( क ) भट्टी से साचे तक; या
( ख ) अन्तिम रुप देने के लिए एक सचि में दूसरे साचे तक और साधे से हठाने के लिए ,
स्थानान्तरित किया जाता है ।
