CENTRAL EXCISES
New Delhi, the 9th August 1977
G.S.R. 562(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Department of Revenue and Banking No. 131/77-Central Excises, dated the 18th June, 1977, namely —
In the said notification, in. the Explanation, after clause (ii), the folowmg.
clause shall he inserted, namely—
"Where the count is in fraction, then, if the fraction is one-half or more, it shall be increased to one complete count, and if such fraction is less than one-half, it shall be ignored."
