G.S.R 578(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by s u b m it (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby exempts acetylene gas in undissolved condition falling under Item No 14H of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), if used in the factory of production in the manufacture of polyvinyl chloride resin (falling under Item 15A of the said First Schedule) from the whole of the duty of excise leviable thereon

G.[)R. 579(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause d) of sub-rule (1) ol! rule 173A of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby make3 the lol ow.ng further amendment in the notification of the Gov- ernment of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insu- rance) No 171/69-Central Excises, dated the 21st June, 1969, namely —
