SUBJECT —Import of Coconut oil under free licencing scheme

No. 61-ITC(PN)/77.—Attention is invited to Para 3 of Public Notice No 47-ITCfPN)/77 dated the 13th Julv, 1977, wherein it has been provided that import of coconut oil of white variety only will be allowed against licences issued for edible oils2 Certain difficulties have been brought to the notice of the Government in regard to the interpretation of the above It is hereby clarified that the reference therein to "coconut oil of white variety" shall mean only coconut oil which conforms to the Prevention of Food Adulteration Rules K V SESHADRI, Chief Controller of Imports & Exports (811)
