GS.R. 583 ( E ) . In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 25 of the Customs Act . 1962 ( 52 of 1962 ) , and in supersession of the noti- fication of the Government of India in the department of Revenue and Banking No. 203 - Customs dated the 2nd August , 1976 , the Central Government , being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do , hereby exempts all articles of food and edible material when imported into India and are supplied as free gifts to the Government of India either by the agencies approved by the United Nations Organisation or by the European Economic Community , from-
( i ) the whole of duty of customs leviable thereon under the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act , 1975 ( 51 of 1975 ) , and
(11 ) the whole of the additional duty leviable thereon under section 3 of the said Customs Tariff Act

सा० का ० ति० 583 ( अ) -केन्द्रीय सरकार , सीमा शुल्क अधिनियम , 1962 ( 1962 का 52) की धारा 25 की उपधारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , और भारत सरकार के राजस्व और बैंकिग विभाग की अधिसूचना स ० 203 -सीमा शुल्क, तारीख 2 अगस्त, 1976 को अधिक्रान्त करते हुए , यह समाधान हो जाने पर कि लोक हित में ऐसा करना श्रावश्यक है, सभी खाद्य वस्तुओ और भोज्य पदार्थों को, जब वे सयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ द्वारा या यूरोपियन इकनोमिक कम्युनिटी द्वारा अनुमोदित अभिकरणोद्वारा भारत सरकार को नि शल्क दान के रूप मे आपूर्ति किए जाएं तथा भारत मे आयात किए जाए, --
( i ) सीमा- शुल्क टैरिफ अधिनियम , 1975 ( 1975 का 51 ) की प्रथम अनुसूष्चो के अधीन उन पर उग्रहणीय समस्त सीमा- शुल्क से ; और
( ii ) उक्त सीमा शुल्क टैरिफ अधिनियम की धारा 3 के अधीन उन पर उग्रहणीय समस्त अतिरिक्त शुल्क से , छूट देती है ।

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub - section ( 1 ) of section 25 of the Customs Act , 1962 ( 52 of 1962 ) , read with sub - section ( 4 ) of section 3 of the Finance Act , 1977 ( 11 of 1977 ) , the Central Government , being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do , hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Department of Revenue and Banking ( Revenue Wing ) No. 123 - Customs , dated the 1st July , 1977 , namely.-
In the Schedule to the said notifications-
(a) serial No. 82 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted;
(b) after serial No 159 and the entries relating thereto , the following shall be inserted , namely.-
"160. No. 183 - Customs , dated the , 22nd August , 1977 "

सा० का० नि० 584 ( अ) केन्द्रीय सरकार , वित्त अधिनियम , 1977 ( 1977 का 11 ) की धारा 3 की उपधारा ( 4 ) के साथ पठित सीमा शुल्क अधिनियम, 1962 ( 1962 का 52 ) की धारा 25 की उपधारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियो का प्रयोग करते हुए , यह समाधान हो जाने पर कि लोक हित में ऐसा करना आवश्यक है , भारत सरकार के राजस्व और बैंकिंग विभाग ( राजस्व पक्ष ) की अधिसूचना सख्या 123 - सीमा शुल्क, तारीख 1 जुलाई, 1977 में निम्नलिखित और सशोधन करती है, अर्थात्
उक्त अधिसूचना की अनुसूची मे, -
(क) क्रम सं० 82 और उससे संबंधित प्रविष्टियों का लोप किया जाएगा ;

(ख ) क्रम सं ० 159 और उससे संबंधित प्रविष्टियो के पश्चात् निम्नलिखित अन्त स्थापित किया जाएगा , अर्थात् : --
" 160 सं ० 183 -सीमा- शुल्क , तारीख 22 अगस्त, 1977 " ।
