NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi, the 22nd August 1977
S.O. 628(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clauses (a), (b), (c) and (d) of sub-section (2) of section 44 of the Road Trans- port Corporations Act, 1950 (64 of 1950), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Delhi Transport Corporation (Members) Rules, 1973, namely —
1 (1) These Rules may be called Delhi Transport Corporation (Members) Amendment Rules, 1077;
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette,
2. In the Delhi Transport Corporation (Members) Rules, 1973,—(I) for rule 3, the following shall be substituted, namely.—
"3, Composition of Corporation—The Corporation shall consist of the following members appointed by the Central Government, namely: —
(a) A Chairman-cum.-General Manager; (b) Five officials;

(i) one shall be representative of New Delhi Municipal Committee nominated bv that Committee from among the members of that Committee,
(li) one shall be a representative of the Delhi Metropolitan Council elected from among the members of that Council;
(111) one shall be a representative of the Municipal Corporation, Delhi, elected from among the members of that Corporation;
(IV) two shall be persons nominated by the Central Government.";
(ii) in rule 4, the words, "other than the General Manager of the Corporation" shall be omitted and below the said rule, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely—
"Provided that a person appointed under sub-clause d) or sub-clause (ii) or sub-clause (Hi) of clause (e) of rule 3 shall cease to he a member of the Corporation if he ceases to be a member of the New Delhi Municipal Committee or the Delhi Metropolitan or as the ca.se mav be, the Delhi Municipal Corporation."

S.O. 62i(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) ol section 5 of the Road Transport Corporations Act, 1950 (64 of 1950), read with rules 3 and 5 of the Delhi Transport Corporation (Members) Rules, 1973, the Central Govern- ment herel^y a points Dr. P. G. Polankar Ex-Deputy General Manager, Bombiy Electricity Supply and Transport Undertaking, Bombay, and Shri B. N. Tandon, Chief Secretary, Delhi Administration, Delhi as Chairman-cum-General Manager and member respectively of the Delhi Transport Corporation and makes the fol- lowing further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Shipping and Transport (Transport Wing) No. S.O. 338 (E). dated the 1st May, 1976, namely: —
In the said notification,— (i) in paragraph 1,—
(a) for the entrv against item (1), the entry "Dr P. G. Patankar, Ex- Deputy. .General Manager, Bombay Electricity Supply and Trans- port Undertaking, Bombay" shall be substituted;
(b) for entry against item (xi), the entry "Shri B. N Tandan, Chief Secretary, Delhi Administration, Delhi" shall be substituted,
(11) for paragraph 2, the following shall be substituted, namely: —
"2. Shri P G Patankar shall be the Chairman-cwm-General Manager of the Corporation "
