G.S.R 600(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Central Excise and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Department of Revenue and Banking (Revenue Wing) No 98/77-Central Excises, dated the 1st June, 1977, the Central Government hereby fixes a tariff value of two hundred seventy rupees per quintal for sugar falling under sub-Item (1) of Item No. 1 of the First Schedule to the said Act and chargeable with duty d valorem

In the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Notification No 172- Customs, dated the 8th August, 1977, published in the Gazette of India Extra- ordinary, Pait II, Section 3, sub-section fi), dated the 8th August, 1977 under Issue No. 265 and GSR, 557(E), the following corrections are to be made: —
(i) At page 1597 (first line), for "sub-section (1) (a)" read "sub-section (1)", (ii) At page 1599, under col 4, in sub-item Civ) (b) (flrat line), for the word "terodes" read "tetrodes"
