S R O 608(E) -In exercise of the powers conferred by sub rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules 1944 the Central Government hereby exempts shapes and sections of aluminium falling und]er sub-Item (b) of Item No 27 of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Art 1444 (1 of 1944.) from the whole of the dut\ of excise leviable thereon if such shapes and sections are manufactur- ed from a i d es plates, sheets 01 strips falling under the same sub-Item on which appropriate duty of excise or the additional duty leviable under section 3 of 1he Customs Tariff Act 1975) (51 of 1975) as the case may be has already been paid
