NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 17th September 1977

S.O. 684(E).—Whereas the Government of the Union Territory of Goa, Daman and Diu have intimated some printing mistakes and also some alterations in the boundaries of certain territorial divisions referred to in the description of the extent of constituencies given in Schedule XXVI of the Delimitation of Parlia- mentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 1976;

And whereas the Commission considers it necessary and expedient to make the amendments in the description of the constituencies in Schedule XXVI of the said Order, to bring the Order correct and up-to-date;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, the Election Commission hereby makes the corrections in the said Order as follows: —

I. In Part B, of the Schedule,

(1) In 1-Pernem (SC), in the description of the extent of constituency, the words "Pernem town and" shall be deleted;

(4) In 18-Rivona in the description of the extent of constituency, lor "42-Netroli and "28-Gocodem" read "42-Netorll" and "28-Gocolaeni', respectively;

(5) In 20-Quepem, for the existing description of the extent of constituency f the description "Quepem tdluka (excluding 18-Cavorem, 1B-Bendordemv 20-Cordem, 21 Mama, L-2-Pirld, 23-Sulcorna, 24 Mangal, 25-Cazur, 26-Corla, 27-Quisconda, 28-Gocoldem, 20-Barcem, 30-Padi, 31-Quedem: 32-Morplla, 33-Naquenm, 34-Quitol, 35-Fatorpa, 36-Tiloi, 37^Bah and 38-Adnem villayes)", shall be substituted,

(6) In 21-Cuncolim, in the description of the extent of constituency, jor "31-A&soln8"' lead '"31-AssoLna",

(7) In 22-Benaulim, in the description of the extent of constituency, for "3-Covlva", '7-Betabatim" and "32-Cavelosim, read "3-Colva," ''7- Betalbatim" and "32-Cavelosslm", respectively;

II, In the Note, at the end of the Schedule, for the words and figures "1st day of August, 1975", the words and figures "1st day of August, 1977" -hall be sub- stituted.
