CENTRAL EXCISES

New Delhi, the 26th September 1977

G.S.R. 623(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 8 of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Depart- ment of Revenue and Banking No 178/77-Central Excises, dated the 18th June, 1977, namely:.—

In the said notification, after the words "as is equivalent to the duty of excise already paid on the inputs" the words ", subject to the condition that the manu- facturer furnishes to the proper officer a statement showing the quantity of the inputs used in the manufacture of every unit of the said goods" shall be inserted [No 295/77-C.E] K.
