IMPORT TRADE CONTROL

SUBJECT.—Submission of Chartered Accountant Certificate of consumption of
raw materials and components, etc., by actual user units along with
applications for import licences—import policy for April 77—March
'78
No. 80-ITC(PN)/77.—Attention is invited to para 7 of Section I of the Import Trade (Control) Policy (Vol I) for the period April '77—March '78, in terms of which it has been provided that existing actual user units shall produce consumption certificates in the form given in Appendix 50 showing the c i f value of imported raw materials and components consumed by them in a given period of time, certified by a practising Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant who is not a partner or employee of the applicant firm or its associates.
2 It has since been decided that concerned existing Actual Users who make on or after the 17th October 1977 applications (for import licence or release order, as the case may be) for their requirements of raw materials and components for a value above Rs 50,000/- should submit an additional copy each of the import application and the connected Chartered Accountant Certificate to the licensing authorities concerned.
