CENTRAL BOARD OF DIRECT TAXES NOTIFICATION WEALTH.TAX New Delhi, the 14th October 1977
SO 721 (E)—In exercise of the- powers conferred by section 46 of the Wealth- tax Act, 1957 C27 of 1957), the Central Board of Direct Taxes hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Wealth-tax Rules, 1957, namely.—
1 These rules may be called the Wealth-tax (Third Amendment) Rules, 1977
2 After rule 1A of the Wealth-tax Rules, 1957, the following rule shall be inserted, namely —
'1AA Prescribed authority for the purposes of section 5(1) (xxxiv) —For the purposes of clause (xxnv) of sub-section (1) of section 5,— (1) the Chief Controller of Imports and Exports, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, shall be the "prescribed authority" for specifying the percentage of total production to be exported by a company for the purposes of the said clause and for certifying that the company has undertaken the export of such percentage of its total production as has been so specified;
