NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 10th October 1977
S.O. 726(E).— Whereas the Government of Assam have intimated a change in the name of a district mentioned in Schedule IV of the Delimitation of Parlia- mentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 1976,
And whereas the Commission considers it necessary and expedient to correct the name of the district in Schedule IV of the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 1976 to bring the Order up-to-date,
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-sec- tion (1) of Section 0 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, the Election Commission hereby makes corrections in the said Order as follows1—
In Part B of Schedule IV of the Order—
(i) After the entry 16, Hafiong (ST), for the sub-heading 'MIKAR HILLS DISTRICT the sub-heading "KARBI ANGLONG DISTRICT" shall be substituted.
