NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 29th October 1977
G.SR.659(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 31 of the Oil & Natural Gas Commission Act, 1959 (43 of 1959), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Oil & Natural Gas Commission Rules, 1960,namely—
1 These rules may be called the Oil and Natural Gas Commission (Amend- ment) Rules, 1977
2 In the Oil & Natural Gas Commission Rules, 1960 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), In rule 5, for the words "at least one month", the words ''three months" shall be substituted
3 In the said rules, after rule 21, the following rule shall be inserted, namely —
"21-A Powers of the Commission for implementation of any scheme or pro- posal involving capital expenditure or in respect of disposal of any property as envisaged under the proviso to section 15 of the Act — The Commission shall obtain the previous approval of the Central Government in respect of —
(a) the implementation of any scheme or proposal which will Involve a
capital expenditure exceeding five crores of rupees,
