CENTRAL EXCISES
New Delhi, the 23rd November 1977
G.S.R. 713 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (l) of rule 8 of the Central Exercise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No 136/65-Cen- tral Excises, dated the 20th August, 1965, namely —
In the said notification, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely—
Provided that Where a manufacturer manufactures such lead unwrought from lead ore concentrate in admixture with such scrap, only that quantity of the lead unwrought manufactured, shall he exempt from duty as is in excess of the quantity determined in accordance with the following formula —

DW is the weight of dry lend pre concentrate and p is the number of parts (by weight) of lead in 100 parts of the div lead ore concen- trate '
