New Delhi, the 12th December 1977
G. S. R. 737(E)/Ess. Com./Sugarcane.—'In exercise of the powers conferred by clause 3 of the Sugarcane (Control) Order, 1966 and having regard to various factors mentioned under sub-clause (I) thereof, the Central Government, after consultation with such authorities, bodies and associations as are considered necessary by it to be consulted, hereby, on the basis of the basic minimum price of sugarcane at Rs. 8 50 per quintal linked to a recovery of 8- 5 per cent or below with a premium of 10 paise. per quintal for every 0. 1 per cent, increase in recovery above 8.5 per cent., fixes, with immediate effect, the price specified in Column (3) of the Schedule hereto annexed as the minimum price and shall be payable by the owner of the vacuum pan process sugar factory v specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) of the said schedule or his agents for sugar cane delivered at the gate of his factory or at any purchasing centre subject to the rebate payable therefor under clause 3A of the said Order
