New Delhi, the 6th December 1977

S O 836 (E) .—Whereas the Government of Karnataka have intimated some printing mistakes and alterations in the names and boundaries of certain terri- torial divisions referred to in the description of constituencies given in Schedule X of the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 1976;

And whereas the Commission considers it necessary and expedient to correct these printing mistakes and also to make amendments in the description of the constituencies in the said Schedule of the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies Order, 1976, to bring the Order up-to-date;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, the Election Commission hereby makes the corrections in the said Order as follows: —

I. In Part A, of the Schedule—

(1) In 14-Mandya, in the extent of the constituency, for "109-Krlshna- rajapet" read "109-Knshnarajpet";

(2) In 16-Mysore, in the extent of the constituency, for "114-Krishnaraj" read "114-Krishnaraja and for "115-Chamarai" read "115-Chama- raja";

(3) In 17-Mangalore, m the extent of the constituency, for "127-Mercara" read "127-Madikeri";

(4) The name of constituency "18-Udipi" shall be read as "18-Udupi"- and m the extent of the constituency for "146-Udipi" read "146-Udupi";

(5) The name of constituency "23-Dharwar South" shall be read as "23-Dharwad South"; and
