S.O 845(E) —In exercise of the powers, conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 1977 (27 of 1977), the Central Govern- ment hereby appoints the 1st day of January, 1978 as the date on which the provisions of sections 2, 3 and 6 of the said Act shall come into force
