The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on. the 25th December, 1977, and is hereby published for general informa- tion—

THE BETWA RIVER BOARD (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1977""

An Act to amend the Betwa River Board Act, 1976.

BE it enacted by Parliament in the Twenty-eighth Year of the

Republic of India as follows:—

1. This Act may be called the Betwa River Board (Amendment) Short title.

section 4,

2. In section 4 of the Betwa River Board Act, 1976 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in sub-section (3), for clauses (a) and (b), the following clauses shall be substituted, namely:—

"(a) where the same Union Minister is not in charge of both Irrigation and Power, the Union Minister in charge of Power or such Minister or Deputy Minister in the Union Ministry or Department in charge of Power as may be specified in this behalf by the Union Minister in charge of Power;

3. In section 7 of the principal Act, in sub-section (1), after the pro-

viso, the following proviso shall beiimerted, namely: —

4 In section 10 of the* principal' Act,—

Amend- ment of section 10

(a) in clause (a), after the words "Rajghat Dam pnd appurte- nant works", the words and brackets "and for the generation of power at Ttajghal Dam, including the construction of a power house (hereinafter refoired to a.? the Rajghat Power House) near the dam and appurtenant works" shall be inserted,

(b) in clause (d), after the words "Rajghat Dam", the words

"and the Rajghat Power House" shall be inserted.

5. In section H of the principal Act, in sub'section (1), in clause (h), for the words "Rajghat Dam including appurtenant works", the words "Rajghat Dam and Rajghat Power House including appurtenant works and on the generation of power at Rajghat Dam" shall be substituted

6. In section 12 of the principal AcW in subrSSSUon (2), in clause (b), for the words "and the regulation of Rajghat Reservoir", the words ", the regulation of Ra]gha,t Reservoir and the generation of powler at Rajghat Dam" shall be substituted.

Amend- ment of section 13.

7 In section 13 of the principal Act, in sub-section (2), in clause (;c), for the words "Rajghat Dam and appurtenant works", the words "Rajghat Dam, the Rajghat Power Hougle and appurtenant works" shall be substituted.
