NOTIFICATIONS
New Delhi, the 30 th December 1977
S.O 861(E).—In pursuance of clause (a) of section 3 of the Petroleum Pipeline (Acquisition of Right of User in Land) Act, 1962 (50 of 1962), the Central Government hereby autho rises the person mentioned in column (1) of the Schedule below to perform the functions of the competent authority under the said Act in the area specified in the corresponding entry in column (a) of the said Schedule.

S O. 8<[a(E1 —Wherees it appears to the Central Government that it j nccci- aaiy m die public interest that for the transport of iron ore concentrate from Malleshwara (Kudre- inukh) to New Mangalore Port, Panambur in Karnataka, pipelines should be laid by Kudre- mukh, lion Ore Company Limited,
And whereas jt appeasr to the Central Government that for the purpose of laying such pipelines, it is necessary to acquire the right of user ui the land described in the Schedule annexed hereto ,
Now, therefore, m exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (i) of section 3 of the Petroleum Pipelines (Acquisition of Right of User in Land) Act, 196a (50 of 196a), the Central Government hereby declares its intention to acquire the right of user therein.
a. Any person interested in the said land may, within twenty-one days from the date of tin notification, object to the laying of the pipelines under the land to the competent authority, namely* Shri M.V K. Iyer, Deputy Chief (Liaison), Kudrcmukh Iron Ore Company Limited, 25, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Bangalorc-560001.
3 Every person malting such an objection shall be entitled to an opportunity to be heard in person or by a legal practitioner.
