NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 13th January, 1978
G.S.R. 31(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Destructive Insects and Pests Acl, 1914 (2 of 1914), the Centra] Government hereby makes the following regulations luriher to amend the Import of Cotton into India Regulations, 1972, namely :—
1. (1) These regulations may be called the Traport of Cotton into India
(First Amendment) Regulations, 1977.
(2) They shall tome into force on th" date of their publication in the
Official Gazette.
2. In legulation 4 of the Inipoit of Cotton into India Regulations, 1972, fui the words and figures beginning with "and Ra, 8,00 per square bale" and ending with "Rs. 5.25 per round talc at Bhavnagar Docks", the following shall DC substituted, namely :—
"and Rs. 9.07 per square bale and Rs. 6.00 per round bale at Cochin, . Rs. 6.06 per square bale and Rs. 4.00 per round bole at Tuticorin, Rs, 8.57 per square bale and Rs. 5.50 per round bale at Calcutta Docks, Rs. 16.07 per square bale and Rs. 10.50 per round bale at Madras Docks if fumigated in special t;uaiantine chamber; de- clared as such by the Madras Port Trust and Rs. 12.10 per square bale and Rs. 7.50 per round bale if fumigated elsewhere at Madras Docks imd Rs. 12,50 per square bale and Rs. 11.50 per round bale at Bhavmigar Docks."
