S.O. 37(E).—Whereas vacancies have occurred in the House of the People by reasons of the resignation of Shri Neelam Sanjiva Reddy and the death of Shri S. B. Giri, elected to that House from 27-Nandyal and 39-Warangal Parliamentary Constituencies in the State of Andhra Pradesh respectively ;
92" THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)]S.O. 38(E).—In pursuance of the provisions of section 30 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election Commission horeby appoints, with respect to each of the bye-elections to be held in 27-Nandyal and 39-Warangal parliamentary constituencies in the State of Andhra Pradesh, in pursuance of its notification No, 100/ AP-HP/1/77(1) dated 25th January, 1978.—
(a) 1 February, 1978 (Wednesday) as the last date for
making nominations ;
(b) 2 February, 1978 (Thursday) us the date for the
scrutiny of nominations ;
(c) 4 February, 1978 (Saturday) as the last date for
the withdrawal of candidatures ;
S.O. 39(E).—In pursuance of the provisions of section 56 of the Representation of People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Ejection Commission hereby fixes the hours from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. us the hours during which a poll •ihall, if neces- sary, bo taken for each of the bye-elections to the House of the People from 27-Nandyal and 39-Warangal parliamentary constituencies to be held in pursuance of its notification No, 100/AP-HP/I/77(l) dated 25 January, 1978.
(d) 25 February, 1978 (Saturday) as the date on which
a poll shall, if necessary, be taken ; and
By order, (e) 1 March, 1978 (Wednesday) as the date before
which the election shall be completed.
