G.S.H 55(E).—In excicise of ihe powei.s confened by sub-section (1) of section 25 ot ihe Customs Act, 1962 (,52 of l'Jf)2j. iend with sub-section (4) of section 3 of Ihe Finance Acl, 1977 (11 ot 1977), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in ihe public mteerst so to do, hereby exempts the components lequircd for the manufacture of motot vehicles foi the transpoit of poisons, goods or materials, oi of. tiactors and the goods leqimed tor the manufacture of such components fiom the whole ot the auxiliaiy duty of customs leviable thereon undci sub-section (1) of section 3 of the said Finance Act, subject to the condition that—
(i) the exemption contained herein shall be applicable only to those components which art required for the manufactuie of moioi vehicles for the dan.s- port of persons, goods or materials, oi of ti actors and to those goods inquired for the manufacture of such components which aie duly coveicd by Spe- cial impoit liade control licences; and
(ii) Ihe impoitcis should pioduce evidence to llle Assist- ant Collectoi of Customs at the lime of clearance of the components or the goods that they have a programme duly approved by the Ministry of Jndustry and the Dnector General, Technical Development, foi the manufacture of moior vehi- cles for the Uansporl of persons, goods oi mate- rials, or of tiactois or foi the manufactuie of compoDents, as the case may be,
