CUSTOMS
G.S.R. 60(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Depart- ment of Revenue No. 266-Customs, dated the 30th December, 1977 the Central Government, being satisfied that it is neces- sary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts polyno- sic staple fibre falling within Chapter 56 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), when im- ported into India, from the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon under the said First Schedule.
2. This notification shall be in force upto and inclusive
of the 31st day of March, 1978.

108 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART 11-SEC. 3(i)] CUSTOMSG.9.R. 61(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 oi the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) read with sub-seclion (4) of section 3 of th" Finance Act, 1977 (11 of 1977), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the noti- fication of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue No. 267-Customs dated the 30th December, 1977, namely :—
In paragraph 2 of the said notification, for the figures, letters and word "31st lanuary, 1978", the figures letters and word "31st March, 1978" shall be substituted.
