ORDER
New Delhi, the 16th February, 1978
G.S.R. 75(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 47 of the Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1976 (33 of 1976), the Central Government hereby mattes the following Order, namely :—
1. (1) This Order may be called the Urban Land (Ceiling and Regula-
tion) Removal of Difficulties Order No. 2.
(2) It applies to the States in which the Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1976 (33 of 1976) is in force at the commence- ment of this Order.
(3) It shall come into force at once.
2. The reference to Ganhatl Municipality, outgrowths and other areas in tho entries in Column (2) against Serial No. 2, rotating to the State of Assam, in Schedule I to the Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1976 (33 of 1976) shall be deemed to be a reference to the area comprised in the former Gauhati Municipality, outgrowths and other areas in existence immediately before the constitution of the Gauhati Municipal Corporation under the provisions of the Gauhati Municipal Corporation Act, 1971 (Assam Act I of 1973) and the area of tho Gauhati Urban Agglomeration and its peripheral area shall be construed accordingly.
