SUBJECT :—Facilities for Import of raw materials, components, instruments etc. witbout the requirements of import licence by Research and Development Units i Import Policy for April, 1977—Mareb, 1978,

No. IPC/3/6/77 Attention is invited to para 156(vlli) of Section 1 of the Import Trade Control Policy Book (Volume I) for the period April, 1977— March, 1978, as amended vide Public Notice No. 72-ITC(PN)/77 of the 19th September, 1977, $2-ITC(PN)/77 of the 15th October, 1977 and 116-1TC (PN)/77 of the 12th December, 1977, in regard to research and development institutions of repute to which Chief Controller of Imports and Exports may, by notification, extend facilities to import raw materials, components, apparatus and appliances etc., including items, import of which ia canalised through public sector agencies, upto Rs. 5.00 tukhs per annum, without an import licence.
