NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 17th Februaiy, 1978
G.S.R. 76(E).—[n exercise of (he powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the All-India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951), the Central Govern- ment, after consultation with the Government of the State of Sikkim, hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, namely :—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Indian Administrative Service (Recruit-
ment) Amendment Rules, 1978.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the
Official Gazette.
2. In rule 4 of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954,
after sub-rule (6), the following sub-rule shall be inserted, rwmcly ;—
"(7) Notwithstanding anything hereinbefore contained in this rule, in re- lation to the State of Sikkim, recruitment to the State Cadre on its initial constitution shall bo made by such method, as the Central Government may, after consultation with the Stale Government and the Commission, prescribe."
