NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 18th February, 1978
F. 12(4)/77-R & C .—Whereas, in pursuance of the provisions of section 2 read with section 9 of the Salary and Allowances of Leaders of Opposition in Parliament Act, 1977 (33 of 1977), the Chairman of the Council of States has decided that Shri Kamlapati Tripathi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Council of States, has ceased to be the Leader of Opposition in the Council of States with effect from the 15th Day of February, 1978 ;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby notifies that Shri Kamlapati Tripalhi has ceased to be the Leader of the Opposition in the Council of States with effect from the 15th day of February, 1978 for the purposes of the said Act.
