New Delhi, the 22nd February, 1978

8. O. 123(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 1977 (27 of 1977), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of Maich, 1978 as the date on which the provisions of section 9 of the anid Act shall come into force.
