S.R.O. 4-E.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Civilians in Defence Service-) (Revised Pay) Rules, 1973, namely :—

As amended vide SRO 3-E dated 21-1-1975, after SI. No. 8 C and entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely :—

The Civilians in Defence Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 1973, which were notified to implement the Government decisions on Ihe recommendations of the Third Pay Com- mission in respect of the pay scales of Civilian employees in the Defence Services, were given effect to from the 1st January, 1973, except in respect of revision of pay or scales of pay of posts which have been upgraded to Rs, 3000 (fixed) or above. The present amendment to the First Schedule to those Rules which indicate the revised scale for certain post is accordingly being given effect to from the 1st January, 1973, so as to extend the benefit oi' revised scale from that date.
