G.S.R. 19O(E).--In exorcise of tho powers conferred by sub-sectJon (2) of section 3 of the Wutei (Proveniion and Control of Pollution) Cess Act, J977 (36 of 1977), (he Central Government hereby specifies that the rutes of cess payabl on the water consumed by--
(a) any prison cairying on any industry specified in Schedule I to the said
Act; or
(b) any local aulhonty;
for Ihc purposes, specified in column (I) of the Table appended hereto shall be the

Three-fourths of a paisa per
kilo litre.

One pnisa per kilo litre. Two pai'.e per kilo litre.

Two and a half paise, per

Industrial cooling, spraying in mine pits or boiler feed. Domestic purpose Processing whereby water gets polluted iiiid the pollutants are easily bio-dcgradable. Processing whcieby water gets polluted and ihe pollutants arc not ejsily bio-degrudable and are toxic.
