New Delhi, the 27th March, 1978
No. F. 12(4)/77-R&C.—Whereas, in pursuance of the provisions of section 2 read with section 9 of tho Salary and Allowances of Leaders of Opposition in Parliament Act, 1977 (33 of 1977), the Chairman of the Council of States lias decided that Slid Bnola Paswan Shastri, the Leader of the Opposition in the Council of States, has ceased to be the Leader of Opposition in the Council of States with effect from the 23rd day of March, 1978;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby notifies that Shri Bhola Paswan Shastri has ceased to bo the Leader of the Opposition in the Council of State1; with effect from the 23rd day of Match, 1978 for the purposes of the said Act,
