सा०का ० ति० 349( अ) भारतीय पुलिस सेवा ( संवर्ग ) नियम, 1954 के मियम 4 के उप-नियम ( 1 ) के साथ पटित श्रखिल भारतीय सेवा अधिनियम, 1951 ( 1951 का 61) की धारा 3 की उपधारा ( 1) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए , केन्द्रीय सरकार एतद्द्वारा भारतीय पुलिस सेवा ( काकर संख्या का नियतन ) विनियम, 1955 में और आगे संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित विनियम बनाती है , अर्थात्
1. ( 1 ) इन विनियमों का नाम भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (काडर संख्या का नियतम्) संशोधन विनियम , 1978 है ।
( 2) के सरकारी राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की तारीख से प्रवृत्त होंगे ।
2. उप- शीर्ष " विल्ली प्रशासन के अधीन पद" तथा उनके नीचे उपशीर्ष और प्रविष्टियों के स्थान पर शीर्ष "संघ शासित क्षेत्र" के अधीन भारतीय पुलिस सेवा ( काडर संख्या का नियतन) विनियम , 1955 की अनुसूची में निम्नलिखित प्रतिस्थापित किया जाएगा, अर्थात्:--

following regulations further to amend the Indian Police Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength ) Regulations , 1955 , namely :---
1. (1) These regulations maybe called the Indian Police Service ( Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations , 1978 .
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publica- tion in the Official Gazette .

(ख) दिल्ली प्रशासन के बारे में मौजूदा प्रविष्टियों के लिए शीपं 66 " संघ शासित क्षेत्र" के अधीन तालिका में शीर्ष " ख -समय वेतनमान में वतन के श्ररथा विशेष वेतन वाले पदों समेत राज्य सरकारों के अधीन भारतीय पुलिस सेवा के वरिष्ठ- समय वेतनमान में वेतन आले पद " के अधीन निम्नलिखित प्रविष्टियां प्रतिस्थापित की होंगी, अर्थात्:--

सा०का०नि० 350 ( अ) भारतीय पुलिस सेवा ( वेतन) नियम, 1954 के नियम 11 के साथ पठित अखिल भारतीय सेवा अधिनियम, 1951 ( 1951 का 61 ) की धारा 3 की उप- धारा ( 1 ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केन्द्रीय सरकार एतद्वारा भारतीय पुलिस सेवा ( वेतन ) नियम, 1954 में और घाने संशोधन करने के लिए निम्न- लिखित नियम बनाती है, अर्थात्ः--
1. ( 1 ) नियमों की भारतीय पुलिस मेवा ( वेतन ) छटवां संशोधन नियम , 1978 कहा जाएगा ।
(2) ये सरकारी राजपत्र में प्रकाशन की मारीश्व से लागू होंगे ।

1. (1 ) These rufes may be called the Indian Police Service (pay) Rules Sixth Amendment Rules, 1968 .
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publica- tion in the Official Gazette .
2. In Schedule III appended to the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 1954 ,
(a) under the heading " A- Posts carrying pay above the time -scale pay in the Indian Police Service under the StateGovernments " in the Table under the sub - heading "Union Territories" for the existing entries relating to Delhi Administration the following entries shall be substituted namely :-
