Public Notice No. 47-ITC(PN)/78
New Delhi, the 3rd July, 1978
Subject,—Import of dry fruits, asafoetida, cumin seeds etc. from Afghanistan and counter export of goods from India under Indo-Afghan trade arrangement from 1st August, 1977 to 31st July, 1978.
File No. 3/4/77-78/POL. 1—m.—Attention is invited to Public Notice No. 114-ITC(PN)/77 dated 8th December, 1977 containing policy for import of dry fruits, asafoetida, cumin scuds and medicinal herbs etc. from Afghanis- tan.
2. Para 6 of the aforesaid public notice shall stand amended to the extent mentioned below :—
(i) The last date for filing applications alongwith letter of credits and complete export documents is extended from 31st May, 1978 to 8th July, 1978;
(ii) The last date for issue of CCP's is extended from 30th June, 1978 to 20th July, 1978.
3. The last date for counter-balancing exports viz. 31-8-78 remains un- changed.
4. It has also been decided that CCPs jssued in terms of this Public: Notice will be subject to production of bank guarantee by all for the full value of the CCPs. These guarantees shall be invoked in case of partial and/ or full failure to complete counter-balancing exports by the prescribed date,
