G.S.R, 353(K) .—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Passports Act, 1967 (J5 of 1967), the Central Government makes the following rules fun her to amend the Passports Rules, 1967, namely :—
(1) These rules may lie called the Passpms (Amendment)
Rules 197S.
(2) In Schedule 1 to the Passport Rules, 1967-
(i) against serial No. 7 in column 3, for the existing entry, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:— "The State of Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory of Pondicherry";
namely: —
"I3.(a) Regional Passport Offi- The State of Kama-
cer. Bangalore (Regional (alca. Passport Office, Banga- lore).
(b) Assistant Passport Ofli- —do—
cer. Bangalore (Regional Passport Office, Banga- lore).
Bangalore (Regional taka, Passport Office, Banga- lore).
(d) Superintendent, Banga- —do—
lore (Regional Passport Office, Bangalore).
(Hi) Serial No. 8(a) lo (d) is renumbered as social No. g(i)
(a) to (d);
(iv) after serial No. 8(i), the following entry shall be inserted,
namely :—
"8,(ii)(
Kerala.
(b) Public Relations Offi- —do—
cer, Sub-Regional Pass- port and Emigration Office, Kozhikode.
(c) Superintendent, Sub- —do—
Regional Passport and Emigration Office, Kozhikode.
